Hotel San Miniato

It was booked for me as part of a walking trip through Tuscany. The photos look beautiful and the hotel itself matches. There's an elegant reception and wonderful breakfast room combined with a tower from which you can see for miles. My room is a little small but it was a single bed only which was fine. The bathrooms are clean and the Wi-Fi works well. There was a little delay in reaching reception but they called me back. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Old and very worn hotel near the center of San Miniato. The hotel offers a great parking lot, but unfortunately that's all. The beds are old box springs and the other equipment in the room is very worn. The same applies to the bathroom. The faucets are slightly trimmed. I recommend bringing slippers to the room as you won't want to walk barefoot on the floor. The bathroom really needs to be renovated. The breakfasts were good and the staff behind the bar offered us very good coffee included in the price. The biggest problem we had was with the air conditioning in the room. Unfortunately, the air conditioning did not work (it only made noises and a little warm wind came out of it - I think it lacked a cooling medium). After reporting to the reception, the lady went to check the room and confirmed that the air conditioning was not working. She then told us that she couldn't change our room, but that when someone had dinner, she would come and fix it for us. After we ourselves came back to the hotel at 23:00, we were told that the air conditioning was still not working and that it could not be repaired. That's all. They did not offer any other solution or a discount for accommodation. So I had to ask if this problem would be taken into account in the price, because it was 30 degrees Celsius in the room. The lady said she would ask the manager. The next day at check out, we were told by another arrogant lady that the air conditioning was working (only at a lower power) and that they would only give us a 10 euro discount... When I told her that unfortunately we couldn't sleep all night because of the heat, she she said we were supposed to leave the room at night and we wouldn't pay anything. I don't understand, I still don't want to believe this approach... In any case, I know that I never want to experience this accommodation in Italy again. If you want a good night's sleep, stay away from this hotel.

the receptionist was absolutely fantastic and helpful I believe her name was Mary or marieme I forgot but what I didn’t forget was her professionalism and friendly demeanor and attitude the hotel and its amenities and facilities were very good overall a 8.2/10 thank you to the receptionist especially and I highly recommend the breakfast very good too 👍🏻

Spacious rooms and bathroom. Shower is terrible as there hot water and cold water mixer doesn’t work properly, the space for shower too is so small. Breakfast is so simple with not many to choose. Sky TV is free and there are numerous channels available. Staff here are extremely courteous and friendly. This hotel is located in a place where the drive to the hotel and the view from the hotel are good.

5 star rating for our regular 1night stay since about 5 years. it is not a luxary hotel, but this is not what i expect reserving a 3 star hotel. we stay overnight with the family during early summer since about 5 years for travelling weither further south or back to the north. we normally get a room that sleeps the four of us. it is clean and spacious enough for the night. the breakfast has in my opinion improved a lot since the first stay, but is still an italian style breakfast - completely Ok for the 3 start the hotel has. Prices fair. Thanks for the always friendly welcome.

Location is fantastic, very nice views from many places. Staff was OK, nothing special but all good. Free and spacious parking. Everything is within walking distance, it's very small town. We got spacious rooms in the dependency building uphill, bathroom and amenities - fine. Internet connection was OK - not great but working most of the time. There is a kettle in the room, some instant coffee - but no tea. Breakfast is very basic and everything is cold, including scrambled eggs and bacon. Yes, even that is completely cold and nobody seems to care. Coffee from the machine wasn't very good, weak and mostly tasteless. TV in the room was flat screen but very old, weird colours, hard to watch anything.
